Continuous improvement is at the heart of what we do at Canopy Connect. Sometimes this means adding new features; sometimes it means improving on current functionality, or making our carrier connections better.

Here are some new upgrades we’ve recently made:

Forms Improvements

Last summer, we introduced forms as part of our glow-up into the insurance data intake platform. We've since improved our functionality.

Note: Some of these features are not available on lower-tier plans or legacy plans. Want to explore upgrading? Contact our support team.

Sections for Property, Vehicles, and More

When we first released custom forms, they were (and still are) truly custom fields where you could ask anything. We’ve since added a library of ‎sections specific to properties and vehicles, and added more options for driver information.

When the prospect enters an address in the properties section, Canopy Connect will automatically enrich the property data like it does on carrier-connected submissions.

Skip Carrier Login

The carrier connection is usually the best place to start to intake insurance information. But sometimes it doesn’t make sense to, like when the client is buying a new home or it's someone without prior insurance.

When editing a Link Flow, check “Allow user to skip login” on the login screen to make these steps optional.

Autocomplete Addresses

So you’ve skipped the carrier login. Now, the prospect needs to type in the information themselves. We’ve added address autocomplete to our ‎property sections, which will result in less typing and more accurate address information.

Conditional Navigation (Coming Soon)

With the ability to skip the carrier login, you’ll need a way to ask for the information you need if a prospect chooses not to log in. Conditional form logic lets you hide form sections based on if they did or did not connect with the carrier. You’ll also be able to show or hide sections based on answers to previous questions and other data.

This feature is currently in Beta. Contact support via the in-app chat to join the beta program and get access to this feature first.

PL Rating Integration Overhaul

We rebuilt the Canopy Connect integration with PL Rating from the ground up. We are now able to populate more fields and support more policy types (auto, home, condo, and renters).

Users are automatically upgraded to this improved integration experience and will not need to do any additional reconfiguration.

More data passing into PL Rating, means less additional data entry for you! For some agents we worked with, a typical home and auto policy only required filling out five additional fields before requesting rates.

Policy Paste Chrome Extension

This free Chrome extension seamlessly autofills verified insurance data directly into any online form, including carrier rating applications.

Policy Paste bridges the gap between Canopy Connect's intake and carrier-specific portals, allowing you to bypass inconsistencies between comparative raters and direct carrier applications. Policy Paste minimizes tedious data entry, maximizing your time for building client relationships and closing deals.

Referral Program—Redeem Gift Cards

Last month, we updated our referral program to make it easier to redeem your referral rewards. When you refer a new customer through your custom referral link, they’ll get a $50 discount and you’ll earn $50 in referral credits that you can redeem for a gift card at dozens of retailers.

At Canopy Connect, we’re always looking for ways to make your experience better. Whether it’s a small tweak or a big update, every improvement is about making things easier and more rewarding for you.
