Form Data, Now Sent to Your Rater

Previously, when a prospect shared policy information via an insurance carrier connection, the verified data from that carrier could be sent to your rater or CRM. However, information your client entered into a Canopy Connect form stayed in your Canopy Connect dashboard.

Now, that’s all changed.

With our improved form integrations, data that your client confirms, edits, or adds via Canopy Connect’s standard pre-built forms can be sent directly to your comparative rater, CRM, or AMS. This client-provided information can augment the initial carrier data, giving you the most accurate and up-to-date information, with no extra data entry required.

Three Ways This Makes Your Life Easier

This update gives you more flexibility than ever before. Here are three common scenarios where this new functionality shines:

  1. Your client can confirm and edit. What if the carrier data is missing a driver’s license number or has old contact information? Now, your client can correct or add this information directly in the form. The updated, accurate data flows right into your integrated system, ready for quoting.
  2. Your client can upload their dec pages. Your prospects can now simply upload their declarations page. Our DecSight™ technology will parse the document, and the client can then confirm the information in the form, ensuring all the right data is sent to your rater or AMS.
  3. Your client can start from scratch. For new clients or those without prior insurance, they can bypass the carrier connection entirely and fill out the form fields. This form data is then passed directly into your systems, eliminating the need for you to re-key a single field.

A Real-World Example

Imagine a prospect connects to their carrier account. Canopy Connect instantly retrieves their policy, showing two existing vehicles. But they just bought a new car.

No problem. On the next screen, the prospect can add the new vehicle. Then, they can edit the driver information, pre-filled with carrier data. They can overwrite an old address, add a missing driver’s license number, or update their occupation.

All of this new and corrected information from the standard pre-built form screens will be viewable in your dashboard and, most importantly, will be sent directly to your rater or other integrated systems.

(Note: Answers from custom form screens, non-standard questions you’ve created, will still only be visible in the Canopy Connect dashboard.)
