Improved EZLynx Integration from Canopy Connect: Merge & Update Applicants

Ever had to import a prospect into EZLynx, merge duplicate applicants, then go back and rebuild your quote? Or add a vehicle or policy only to find the record isn’t complete? Those extra steps slow you down—and introduce errors.

Today, we’re rolling out an update to the Canopy Connect + EZLynx integration that eliminates those pains. You can now merge and update applicants directly in the import flow, including adding new vehicles or policies.

Here’s What’s New

• Merge & Update Without Leaving the Import Screen: Skip the back-and-forth. When Canopy Connect sends data into EZLynx, you’ll be able to merge with existing applicant records right there, instead of importing first then merging later.
• Add Policies From Multiple Carriers Seamlessly: For clients who have policies with more than one carrier, you no longer need to create separate applicant entries. Just update the existing applicant with additional carrier info.
• Add Vehicles & Retain Legacy Data: New vehicle, new property, or a new policy? You can add those into the existing applicant record.
• Configure Merge Behavior: Administrators can decide how merging and updating work. Go to Dashboard → Integrations → EZLynx to set options. This gives you control across your team.

Example Scenario

Imagine this: Jane has one auto policy with one carrier, but also a personal property or home policy with another. Previously she’d show up in EZLynx twice—once per policy. Then you’d have to merge them manually, rebuild quotes, and double-check coverage.

With this update, sending the first policy from Canopy Connect to EZLynx will create a new applicant. When you send the second policy, you can merge it with Jane’s existing record from the import screen. You'll see both policies, keeping her entire record in one place—vehicles, coverage history, whatever was already there still intact. Less work, more clarity.
