DecSight Now Extracts Intelligence from Insurance Documents and Images.

DecSight has always been the engine behind how Canopy Connect turns insurance documents into structured, usable data. We've made meaningful improvements across the board—expanding what it accepts, how it handles complex submissions, and how reliably it performs.

If you've been using Canopy Connect for a while, you already know what DecSight does in the background: every time a client shares their insurance documents through a Link Flow, DecSight parses that document and turns it into structured data your rater, CRM, or AMS can actually use. It's what makes the difference between receiving a file and receiving information.

But DecSight has quietly grown into something more capable than many customers realize. Here's a full picture of where it stands today—and what just got better.

A Quick Recap: What is DecSight?

DecSight is Canopy Connect's proprietary document intelligence technology. It's purpose-built to handle the complexity of real insurance documents—inconsistent layouts, dense tables, obscure carrier formats.

Standard OCR and general-purpose AI struggle with that complexity. DecSight doesn't. It parses any dec page from any carrier in any format, then outputs clean, structured, integration-ready data.

DecSight is the reason document-based intake through Canopy Connect isn't just a file transfer—it's a data transfer.

Where it Fits in the Intake Flow:

When a client shares their insurance through a Sharing Path, they can choose how to connect—carrier direct, document upload, form entry, or a callback request. When they upload a document, DecSight is what happens next. It's the intelligence layer behind every document-based submission your agency receives.

Your Clients Don't Have Perfect PDFs. Now That's Fine.

Whatever your client sends, DecSight figures it out, so you don't have to. These updates expand what DecSight can accept, improve how it handles complex multi-image submissions, and make the structured data it produces more connected to your existing workflow.

More Document Types Accepted

DecSight now goes beyond declaration pages. Submit notices, endorsements, coverage summaries, or even informal notes—DecSight handles it.

More File Formats Supported

In addition to PDF, clients can now upload images. And if there are multiple images for each page of a document, they can be grouped into one document. However your client's documents come in, DecSight can work with them.

Structured Data to Your Systems

Once a document is parsed, the structured data flows directly into your integrated systems—no copy-paste, no manual re-entry.

Alongside these capability expansions, we've made continued improvements to the accuracy and flexibility of document analysis. DecSight handles more edge cases, more carrier formats, and more document complexity than before—without any changes to how you or your clients use it.

Built for How Clients Actually Share

The expanded document types and file formats address one of the quieter friction points in intake: clients don't always have a clean, single-page PDF. They have photos taken on a phone. They have PDFs that include endorsements alongside the dec page. They have documents from carriers you've never quoted before.

DecSight now meets clients where they are—not where it's convenient for the software.

Multi-image grouping matters especially for anyone whose clients submit policy documents as a series of photos. Previously, a five-page policy photographed page by page might have been processed as five separate documents. Now it's treated as one, preserving context and producing more accurate structured output.

And with structured data flowing directly to your connected systems, the last mile of that process is finally closed. The data doesn't stop at Canopy Connect—it goes where you need it.

DecSight is included across all plans that support document-based intake. If you're already using Canopy Connect, these improvements are live in your account now—no setup required. Sign into Canopy Connect and try it today.
